Joining Unified Fire Service Area (UFSA) gives public safety the needed tools to plan for the long term. Because UFSA has a dedicated revenue stream, it does not compete with other items in the budget (such as street lights, roads, public works, etc…). UFSA views this as a public statement to emphasize the importance of public safety and the need to have a stable funding source.

UFSA is also able to better coordinate services. Under the UFSA Model, we can better serve areas without restrictions of municipal boundaries; but rather build stations that service the most amount of citizens in a responsible way. UFSA is also able to create more effective unified planning efforts for the entire area. These services help to create an elimination of cross subsidy that comes from other areas.
